Nestled at the base of the Kučaj Mountains in the heart of Pomoravlje, on the right bank of the Velika Morava, lies a city that is known for its bridges, love of music, and passion for athletics. That city is Ćuprija, situated at the confluence of Ravanica and Velika Morava.
Location
Ćuprija is a city located in central Serbia. It is situated 147 km away from Belgrade and 89 km from Niš. The city is located at the confluence of Ravanica and Velika Morava, and stands at an altitude of 119 meters. Ćuprija is the center of the municipality, which covers an area of 287 km and includes 17 settlements with approximately 33,000 inhabitants. The city itself has a population of around 22,000 people. Ćuprija is known as the center of the Pomoravlje district and is well-connected by main roads and railways. It shares borders with Jagodina, Paraćin, and Despotovac.
Relief
Ćuprija is a town located in the central part of Serbia, on the banks of the Great Morava River, at the confluence of the Ravanica River. It is situated in a valley and surrounded by the gentle slopes of the Kučaj Mountains on the right and the Juhor mountain on the left. Although it is surrounded by mountains, Ćuprija is considered a plain lowland town.
